About this position:

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering company seeking a driven Sales Executive/Business Development professional to support continued growth. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a proactive approach to sales who enjoys building relationships, developing new business opportunities, and growing existing customer accounts within a technical environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Generate new business opportunities through proactive sales activity.
  • Build and develop long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Identify customer requirements and provide suitable engineering solutions.
  • Manage and grow key customer accounts.
  • Prepare quotations, negotiate commercial terms, and support the sales process through to completion.
  • Work closely with internal engineering and project teams to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline and provide regular updates on business development activity.

Experience Required:

  • Previous experience in a sales, business development, or account management role.
  • Confident communicator with strong relationship-building skills.
  • Experience generating new business and developing existing accounts.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and achieve sales targets.
  • Experience within an engineering, manufacturing, automation, or technical environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • Full UK driving licence preferred.
