Are you a motivated, confident and commercially minded sales professional who enjoys building relationships and spotting new opportunities? This is an exciting opportunity to join our logistics client in a proactive sales role where you will help grow our client base, strengthen existing customer relationships and promote our specialist international services and products.
Reporting to the Business Manager, you will play a key role in our sales function, working closely with clients, overseas offices, partners, airlines and internal teams to deliver excellent service and identify opportunities for growth. You will be the kind of person who enjoys speaking with customers, understanding their needs and turning conversations into long-term business relationships.
What you’ll be doing
In this role, you will:
• Make proactive sales calls to prospective and existing clients, with the opportunity to progress to face-to-face client meetings
• Build strong, professional relationships with current and potential customers
• Take time to understand each client’s individual requirements and identify the right service solutions
• Prepare quotations, follow up with clients and support the conversion of enquiries into business
• Ensure quotations are commercially sound and profitable
• Promote excellent customer service at every stage of the client journey
• Actively search for new business opportunities and potential clients
• Support the Business Manager with wider business development activity
• Use Excel and internal systems to prepare accurate client quotations and maintain records
• Complete client visit notes, follow-up reports, call logs and quotation records
• Build effective working relationships with airline representatives, overseas Loomis International offices and trusted partners
• Develop a strong understanding of the services provided across our international network
What we’re looking for
We are looking for someone with a proactive approach to sales, confidence in cold calling and a natural ability to develop and manage customer relationships. You will be organised, commercially aware and motivated by achieving results.
You will bring:
• A positive, outgoing and professional approach
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport at all levels
• Confidence making sales calls and following up opportunities
• Good attention to detail when preparing quotations and client information
• Experience using Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• A strong work ethic, commitment to high standards and willingness to learn
• A flexible, hands-on approach and the ability to work well as part of a team
