sales manager - chicken and turkey importer in Basildon, Essex

Sales manager for a Chicken and Turkey import company, this company imports from Europe 500-600tons of chicken and turkey at a time, a mixture of raw meat products and value added meat products (in breadcrumbs, herb coatings etc). This role is very proactive and you will need contacts within the Wholesale, foodservice and processing markets to open the doors, ideally with knowledge of selling into the frozen market. They meat hands at the dock's at Felixstow and London gateway and then is transported direct to the companies you have sold the products to. 

The role
As a sales manager, you will be hiting the phones, linkedin, emails and site visits to secure sales of imported meat items, this must be done prior to the stocking landing in the dock and you will be selling what is on the container ready for transportation direct to the company you sold it to. This is a very proactive sales role within the turkey and chicken market. This sales role includes all the normal sales manager duties

Experience
we are looking for a sales manager with a strong sales background, you must be able to open doors within week one for the products that will be landing in dock. you must have a very strong sales background and knowledge of contacts within this market.
