Sales Progressor
Liquid
Up to £37,080, depending on experience
12-month fixed-term contract
Reserved is good. Completed is better.
We’re recruiting for a Sales Progressor to join one of the South’s largest not-for-profit housing providers, helping customers move from reserving their new home to finally receiving the keys.
You’ll manage a pipeline of Shared Ownership and Market Sale properties, keeping buyers, solicitors, mortgage brokers and the internal sales team informed and moving in the same direction.
There will be plenty to keep on top of, but this is not a role where you simply update a spreadsheet and hope everything sorts itself out. You’ll spot problems early, chase the right people and help remove anything standing between reservation, exchange and completion.
Why consider it? This is a good opportunity to join an established new homes team where the work has a genuine purpose behind it.
You’ll be helping people through one of the biggest purchases of their lives, including customers buying through Shared Ownership who may otherwise struggle to access a home of their own.
Alongside a salary of up to £37,080, the benefits include:
- 28 days’ annual leave, plus bank holidays
- The option to buy or sell up to five days’ holiday
- Employer pension contributions of up to 10%
- Life assurance worth up to five times your salary
- Savings with high-street and online retailers
- Free counselling, wellbeing support and fitness sessions
- Recognition awards
- Training and opportunities to develop your career
What you’ll be doing You’ll take ownership of new home sales from reservation through to legal completion.
That will include:
- Managing a pipeline of Shared Ownership and Market Sale properties
- Acting as the main contact for solicitors and mortgage brokers
- Keeping buyers updated throughout the process
- Chasing outstanding information and resolving delays
- Identifying anything that may prevent exchange or completion
- Working closely with Sales Managers and the regional sales team
- Helping the team achieve its sales and completion targets
- Producing accurate forecasts for monthly legal completions
- Maintaining sales progression and reporting systems
- Providing regular updates and reports to management
- Making sure legal and regulatory requirements are met
- Capturing customer feedback and helping improve the buying experience
You’ll ideally have experience in:
- New-build sales progression
- Shared Ownership or affordable home ownership
- Housing association or developer sales
- Estate agency sales progression
- Residential conveyancing
- Mortgages and the home-buying process
You’ll also need to be:
- Exceptionally organised
- Comfortable managing several live sales at once
- Confident speaking with buyers, solicitors and mortgage brokers
- Numerate and accurate
- Proactive rather than someone who waits to be chased
- Comfortable working independently
- Competent using Excel, Word and property or sales systems
- Calm when three completions are due and everybody suddenly decides to call at once
Qualifications There is no specific degree or professional qualification required.
What matters is your practical knowledge of property sales, mortgages, conveyancing and progressing customers from reservation through to completion.
This role would suit a Sales Progressor, New Homes Sales Progressor, Shared Ownership Sales Progressor, Property Sales Progressor or Conveyancing Progressor looking to join an organisation with a strong purpose and excellent benefits.
