Pay Rate: £460 p/d (Inside IR-35)

Overview

I am currently seeking an experienced SAP HR / Payroll Consultant to join a major digital transformation programme within a large-scale public sector environment. This is an excellent opportunity to work across a substantial SAP landscape, contributing to both project delivery and live service support for SAP HCM and Payroll solutions.

The successful consultant will play a key role in enhancing existing functionality, resolving complex issues, and delivering high-quality SAP solutions within a collaborative, multi-supplier environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, enhance and support SAP HCM and Payroll solutions.
  • Work as part of an established HCM and Payroll team within a large SAP practice.
  • Investigate, analyse and resolve live service issues across SAP Payroll and HCM modules.
  • Deliver project work within a multi-supplier environment, ensuring quality and timely execution.
  • Produce and maintain high-quality documentation including:
    • Solution Design Documents
    • Functional Specifications
    • WRICEF documentation
    • Technical and support artefacts
  • Collaborate with both onshore and offshore teams, reporting into the Team Lead.
  • Provide accurate delivery estimates and contribute to project planning activities.
  • Engage closely with client stakeholders to provide support, advice and effective solutions.
  • Support ongoing digital transformation initiatives and continuous service improvements.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as an SAP Payroll Consultant with multiple end-to-end project deliveries.
  • Strong background supporting SAP environments across both project and BAU/live support functions.
  • Expert-level knowledge of:
    • SAP Payroll
  • Strong functional experience across:
    • Personnel Administration (PA)
    • Organisational Management (OM)
    • Employee & Manager Self-Service
    • Time Management
    • Travel Management
    • SuccessFactors
    • Country Legal Changes
  • Experience working within large, complex SAP landscapes.
  • Ability to operate effectively within multi-vendor environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience producing detailed functional and solution design documentation.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a wider team.

Desirable

  • Previous public sector experience.
  • Active SC Clearance or eligibility to obtain SC Clearance.

    • ABAP
    • BASIS
    • SAP Security
    • SAP Portals
    • SAP Integrations
    • SAP UI5
  • Exposure to SAP's strategic technologies, including:
    • SuccessFactors
    • SAP BTP
    • SAP S/4HANA
    • SAP Analytics Cloud
    • SAP Concur
  • Experience supporting large-scale digital transformation programmes.
