Our client based in the Wrexham area is currently looking for a SAP PM Planner to join their team on a permanent basis. The purpose of the role will be to plan and coordinate all statutory, mandatory and preventative maintenance activities at site in line with production schedules to ensure minimal unplanned downtime. Maintain all engineering master data within SAP including asset management, preventative maintenance and calibration schedules.

Performance Objectives

  • Builds maintains and develop CMMS systems to ensure planning and scheduling are streamlined and consistent, by coordinating with planning, production and engineering departments.
  • Build develop and issue Engineering documentation procedures and processes
  • Generate work orders for Planned and Reactive engineering work.
  • Run planned maintenance meetings on a scheduled basis; manages work order planning and scheduling processes by prioritising work order back log.
  • Determining proper division of work between skill sets required to complete tasks.
  • Coordinating activities of all OEM contractors including diagnostic visits, technical assistance, SLA reports and analysis of reports from OEM.
  • Estimating and directing the labour, parts, materials, tools and equipment required to perform the work specified.
  • Assisting in developing and managing the annual maintenance budget, forecast spend vs actual.
  • Reports on key PM metrics provided by the CMMS system in line with business KPI’s.
  • Train others, to use the new CMMS system to ensure data capture so that the analysis will stimulate the proposing actions to mitigate the equipment failure re-occurrence.
  • Actively lead and participate in customer, internal and regulatory audits.

Person Specification

  • Experience using SAP as you will be a key SAP user for site.
  • Demonstrated experience managing contractors and spare parts.
  • Previous background in delivering improved maintenance practices.
  • Excellent organisation skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills, able to build teams and work in a collaborative style.
  • Work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Computer skills required: Word, Excel, Email, Power Point.
  • Able to read and interpret OEM engineering manuals and technical drawings.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks with capability of prioritizing and planning work activities.
  • Self-starter who can function in a semi-autonomous environment.
  • Technical degree from an accredited college or technical school.
  • Prior experience in FMCG industries.
  • Experience of working in an Engineering Maintenance Planner or related job function that includes organising and planning maintenance work.
  • Demonstrated moderate to advanced skills in SAP or related maintenance management system.
  • Familiarity and hands-on experience with maintenance reliability processes.
