Saw Operative – Rotating Shifts

Location: Patchway, Bristol
Hours: Monday to Friday – 37.5 hours a week

Salary: £15.89ph
Shift pattern:
Week 1: 06:00–14:00
Week 2: 14:00–22:00
Shifts rotate weekly.

We are recruiting an experienced Saw Operative to join a well-established, national company based in Patchway, Bristol. Duties will include:

• Operating bandsaws and other relevant cutting machinery
• Cutting materials accurately to the required measurements and specifications
• Reading and following job sheets and cutting instructions
• Measuring and checking finished materials for accuracy and quality
• Carrying out basic machinery checks
• Reporting any faults, defects or production issues
• Completing relevant paperwork accurately
• Keeping your work area clean, safe and organised
• Following all company health and safety procedures
• Working closely with the wider production and warehouse team

Essential requirements:

• Previous experience working as a Saw Operative or Bandsaw Operative
• Experience operating industrial saw or cutting machinery
• Previous experience within a production, manufacturing or similar environment
• Good attention to detail and the ability to work accurately
• Confident using measurements and following specifications
• A strong understanding of workplace health and safety
• Reliable, punctual and able to work both shifts
• A positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills
• Comfortable working in a busy, hands-on environment
