School Finance Officer / Administrator

Full-time | Immediate Start | Nottingham | Temporary

I am working with a well-established Trust to recruit a Finance Officer to support their busy finance team. This is a full-time temporary opportunity with an immediate start, perfect for an experienced finance or administration professional looking for their next role within education.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Process purchase invoices, orders, and supplier payments
• Support sales ledger and credit control activities
• Carry out bank reconciliations and financial transactions
• Assist with payroll administration and expense claims
• Maintain accurate financial records and finance systems
• Respond to finance-related queries from schools and suppliers
• Support month-end processes and ensure compliance with financial procedures

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED

• Previous finance, accounts, or finance administration experience
• Good knowledge of Excel and financial systems
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• The ability to manage a busy workload and meet deadlines
• School or education sector experience is desirable but not essential
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
