School Liaison Officer

Location: Cross College/Trowbridge

Salary: £18,597 rising to £18,988 per year (Full time equivalent £25,304 rising to £25, 835 per year)

At Wiltshire College & University Centre, you'll play a key role in delivering the College's student recruitment strategy. As an ambassador for WCUC, you will coordinate and deliver a wide range of outreach and engagement activities, ensuring prospective students and their support networks receive high-quality information, advice, and guidance to make informed decisions about their post-16 education.

By building and maintaining strong relationships with schools, careers advisers, and other key stakeholders, you'll help raise awareness of our provision, inspire future students, and position WCUC as the destination of choice for post-16 education. What You’ll Do

Coordinate and deliver the College's school liaison and outreach programme

Build effective relationships with schools, careers advisers, and other key stakeholders

Deliver assemblies, presentations, workshops, and careers-related activities to prospective students

Represent the College at careers fairs, parents' evenings, open events, and recruitment activities

Organise and support campus tours, taster sessions, and student engagement events

Work closely with Marketing and Student Recruitment teams to promote the College's courses and opportunities

Support and coordinate student ambassadors at recruitment and outreach activities

Maintain accurate records of outreach activities and engagement outcomes

Contribute to student recruitment targets and raise the profile of the College across Wiltshire and beyond

Support wider Growth & Engagement activities, including events and community engagement opportunities throughout the year

What You’ll Bring

A Level 3 qualification or above, or relevant professional experience

Experience in education, recruitment, events, marketing, customer engagement, or a similar role

Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

Strong relationship-building and organisational abilities

Confidence engaging with young people, parents, carers, and external stakeholders

Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM/database systems

The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines

A flexible and enthusiastic approach, with the ability to participate in a busy calendar of school and College events, including evenings and some Saturdays

A genuine passion for supporting young people and promoting educational opportunities
