I C Talent is working with a number of secondary schools across Peterborough that are seeking enthusiastic Science Teachers for long-term supply positions starting in September. Whether your specialism is Biology, Chemistry, or Physics, we'd love to hear from you.

These roles offer the consistency of a long-term placement while giving you the opportunity to experience different school settings. Many of our long-term positions also have the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

The Role

  • Deliver engaging Science lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (Key Stage 5 experience is advantageous but not essential).

  • Plan and prepare lessons in line with the national curriculum.

  • Assess, monitor, and support student progress.

  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

  • Work collaboratively with the wider Science department and school staff.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • Experience teaching Science within a UK secondary school.

  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.

  • A passion for inspiring students and raising attainment.

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is desirable, or willingness to obtain one.
