Prospero Teaching are working closely with a Good Ofsted rated Special Educational Needs School in Hindhead, Surrey, who are looking for a Teacher of Science to join them from September 2026.
The school have a fantastic opportunity for an exceptional and inspiring Science teacher to join a well-established and high-achieving department in a school where students are well behaved and engaged in their learning. Applications from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged, with a strong ECT support package available where appropriate.
Applications are welcome from ECTs as well as teachers on the Main Pay Scale (MPS) and Upper Pay Scale (UPS).
CONTRACT DETAILS
- Location - Hindhead, Surrey
- Position - Teacher of Science
- Contract or position start date - December 2026
- Duration / Likely Duration - Permanent
- Full time/part time - Part time
- Minimum rate of pay - Paid to scale (MPS/UPS)
- Hours - 8:30 am - 3.30pm, plus parent's evenings and department meetings
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
- QTS or equivalent
- Science teaching experience in UK secondary schools (all specialisms considered)
- Strong subject knowledge across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 desirable but not essential)
- Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child-related references covering the last 2 years
