Science Teacher

Position: Science Teacher (Part Time) 

Location: Tower Hamlets 

Start date: September 2026 

Smart Teachers are working in partnership with a highly successful secondary school in Tower Hamlets to recruit a motivated and passionate Science Teacher for a part-time (0.4 FTE) / 17 hours per week position starting in September 2026.

The role is ideal for an experienced teacher or ECT looking for a flexible, part-time teaching position.

The successful Science Teacher will:

• Teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Deliver engaging and practical lessons that develop students' curiosity and understanding of scientific concepts.
• Plan, assess and adapt learning to ensure all students make excellent progress.
• Work collaboratively with an experienced and supportive Science department.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement and student engagement.

The successful candidate will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Science at Key Stages 3 and 4.
• A specialism in Biology, Chemistry or Physics is welcomed.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire young people.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
