Science Teacher

Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Long-Term (until July 2027) with the potential to become permanent
Pay: £175 – £270 per day (dependent on experience)
Hours: Full-Time | 8:00am – 4:00pm

Supply Desk is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Science Teacher to join a thriving secondary school near Fareham from September 2026.

This is a full-time, long-term opportunity for the full academic year, with the possibility of a permanent appointment for the right candidate. The successful applicant will teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging lessons that inspire curiosity, challenge learners and promote academic success.

You will join a supportive department and play a key role in helping students develop a strong understanding of scientific concepts while fostering a love of learning.

What You'll Be Doing

• Teaching Science across KS3 and KS4.
• Planning and delivering engaging lessons that cater to a range of abilities.
• Conducting practical investigations safely and effectively.
• Monitoring student progress and providing meaningful feedback.
• Creating a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and achievement.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to support departmental and whole-school initiatives.
• Upholding the school's commitment to high standards, inclusion and student wellbeing.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Science at secondary level.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• A passion for inspiring young people and promoting a love of Science.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
