Section Engineer

Carmichael UK is recruiting for an experienced Section Engineer to join a major HS2 infrastructure scheme in Buckinghamshire. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in delivering complex structures and highways works on one of the UK's flagship civil engineering projects.

As Section Engineer, you will be responsible for managing engineering activities across a range of structures and highways packages, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

• Managing site engineering activities for structures and highways works
• Overseeing subcontractors and ensuring programme targets are achieved
• Producing and reviewing RAMS, ITPs and Work Package Plans
• Ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality standards
• Managing setting out activities and as-built records
• Coordinating temporary works and construction methodologies
• Driving health, safety and environmental best practice across your section
• Supporting the delivery team with planning, commercial and technical requirements

• Proven experience as a Section Engineer on major civil engineering or infrastructure projects
• Strong background in structures (bridges, retaining walls, reinforced concrete works, culverts, etc.)
• Experience delivering highways construction works
• Excellent knowledge of QA processes, ITPs and engineering documentation
• Ability to manage and mentor site engineering teams
• Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or related discipline
• CSCS Card (essential)
• SMSTS or SSSTS desirable
