Job Title: Section Foreman

Location: Peterhead, Aberdeenshire (AB42)

Contract Length: ASAP - 31/12/2026 (with potential tp extend ongoing work on further projects)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Saturday 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM

The Role & Project: My client urgently needs proactive leaders to step in as soon as possible due to project demands and team expansion.

Your key accountabilities will include:

  • Providing expert supervision of the works and taking control of a team comprising Gangers, direct labour forces, and Subcontractors.

  • Embodying the values of a leading international infrastructure group who are leading the transformation of our industry to meet the challenges of the future, ensuring a relentless focus on Zero Harm.

  • Chairing daily short interval control meetings with site supervisors and actively providing input for Work Package Plans and Risk Assessments.

  • Fostering a "Right First Time" culture within the supply chain, carrying out Quality Toolbox Talks, and completing QA using BIM field 360.

  • Validating labour and plant records against project cost control procedures, and conducting weekly reviews of small tools and plant lists.

  • Ensuring the workforce has the correct information regarding specifications and proactively identifying hazards to implement safe controls.

  • Supporting the delivery of key sustainability activities and suggesting improvements for Temporary Works solutions.

What We Are Looking For:

  • At least 5+ years of relevant experience.

  • Desirable experience in delivering high-profile projects involving earthworks, deep drainage, and reinforced concrete construction.

  • Essential valid site certificates: CSCS Card, SMSTS, and First Aid (holding as many relevant site certs as possible is highly advantageous).

  • Capable of taking ownership of tasks from start to finish (including handover), with a strong work ethic and the flexibility to work unsociable hours, nights, or weekends as the project requires.

  • Excellent communication skills, acting as a strong team player who can clearly communicate safe systems of work and manage resource allocations efficiently.
