Security Service & Repair Engineer (Subcontract) – South London

We are currently seeking two experienced Security Service & Repair Engineers to join a long-term social housing contract across South London.

This is an excellent opportunity to secure consistent subcontract work with a well-established security contractor. The initial assignment will run for 12 months, with the potential to continue throughout the wider eight-year housing contract.

You will work across occupied residential properties, carrying out planned maintenance, fault-finding and reactive repairs on access control and door-entry/intercom systems. The contract primarily uses Entrotec equipment.

Scope of Work The successful engineers will be responsible for:

  • Servicing and maintaining access control, door-entry and intercom systems

  • Working predominantly with Entrotec equipment

  • Planned preventative maintenance

  • Fault-finding, diagnostics and reactive repairs

  • Completing small remedial works and system repairs

  • Completing service reports and associated documentation

  • Collecting parts and equipment from the client’s office when required

  • Ensuring all work meets current industry standards and client requirements

  • Delivering excellent customer service within occupied residential properties

  • Working independently and managing a daily workload across South London

Location Work will be carried out across social housing properties throughout South London.

Contract Details
  • £250–£280 per day, depending on experience

  • Outside IR35

  • Weekly pay every Friday

  • Monday to Friday

  • Five days per week

  • Initial 12-month subcontract

  • Potential for ongoing work across an eight-year housing contract

  • 14-day notice period

  • Two positions available

  • Immediate starts available

Requirements
  • Proven experience servicing and repairing electronic security systems

  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills

  • Experience with access control, intercom and door-entry systems

  • Entrotec experience is highly desirable

  • Previous social housing or residential maintenance experience is advantageous

  • Valid DBS or willingness to complete a new DBS check

  • Full UK driving licence

  • Own tools and suitable transport

  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively

  • Professional and comfortable working in occupied residential properties
