TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEMH Alternative Provision in Wakefield to recruit an Inclusion Worker. The setting supports pupils from Key Stage 1 through to Key Stage 5, providing a nurturing environment where positive relationships, consistency and individual progress are at the heart of everything they do.

The school is looking to appoint an Inclusion Worker on a contract basis from September. The successful Inclusion Worker will provide behaviour support, classroom support and effective de-escalation strategies to help pupils engage with learning, build positive relationships and achieve their full potential across the provision.

The successful Inclusion Worker will have:

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH needs
• Previous experience in behaviour support within an educational or similar setting
• Strong classroom support skills and confidence managing challenging behaviour
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• A calm, patient and resilient approach
• A positive 'can-do' attitude and flexibility
