SEMH Teaching Assistant – KS1 & KS2
Are you a compassionate and experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with additional needs?
We are working with a welcoming and inclusive Greenwich Primary seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to provide both 1:1 and small group support for pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, and other additional learning needs.

- Maintain a calm, consistent, and positive approach throughout the school day.
- Support pupils during classroom learning, interventions, breaktimes, and transitions as needed.
- Contribute to monitoring progress and maintaining accurate records.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or SEMH Support Worker.
- Experience supporting pupils with SEMH, Autism (ASC), ADHD, and other additional needs.
- Strong behaviour management skills and confidence supporting pupils with challenging behaviour.
- Understanding of trauma-informed practice, emotional regulation, and positive behaviour support.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A patient, empathetic, resilient, and proactive approach.
- A genuine passion for inclusive education and helping every child succeed.
