Brightstone Education Partners is recruiting for SEN Class Teachers on behalf of a highly regarded specialist school in Maidenhead supporting children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

The Role

As a Class Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging, personalised learning programmes that support pupils with autism across a range of ages and abilities.

You will:

  • Lead a class of pupils with autism and additional needs
  • Plan, deliver, assess, and adapt learning to meet individual needs
  • Create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment
  • Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and families
  • Monitor progress and contribute to EHCP outcomes
  • Support pupils' communication, independence, wellbeing, and preparation for adulthood
  • Promote positive behaviour through consistent and supportive approaches
  • Contribute to the wider development of the school community

The Ideal Candidate

The school is looking for someone who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has a passion for SEND and inclusive education
  • Can build positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues
  • Demonstrates excellent classroom practice and adaptability
  • Has high expectations for every learner
  • Is committed to ongoing professional development
  • Works effectively within a multidisciplinary team

Previous experience working with autism or SEND is desirable but not essential for candidates who can demonstrate a genuine passion for specialist education.
