A supportive all‑through alternative provision academy in North West London is seeking an experienced and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to join its dedicated inclusion team. This role involves working with pupils aged 5-16 who require personalised support, smaller class environments and a therapeutic, relationship‑based approach to learning.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and small‑group support for pupils with SEN, including SEMH needs
Build positive, trusting relationships to help pupils re‑engage with learning
Support behaviour strategies and personalised learning plans
Work collaboratively with teachers, pastoral staff and external professionals
Contribute to a safe, structured and nurturing classroom environment
Requirements - Experience Essential
Previous experience working with SEN or SEMH pupils is essential
Strong behaviour‑management skills
Ability to remain calm, patient and consistent
A passion for helping young people overcome barriers
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
