Prospero Teaching is working with a specialist SEMH provision in the Farnborough area to recruit a dedicated and resilient SEN Teacher (QTS) for a September start. This is a permanent opportunity within a supportive and structured setting designed to meet the needs of pupils with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.

In this role, you will teach KS3‑aged pupils following a primary‑style curriculum, adapting learning to suit individual needs and focusing on both academic progress and emotional development. The setting prioritises relationship‑building, consistency, and creating a safe environment where students can re‑engage with education.

The Role:

  • Deliver a primary curriculum to KS3 pupils within an SEMH setting
  • Plan and deliver structured, differentiated lessons
  • Support pupils with emotional regulation and behaviour needs
  • Build strong, consistent relationships with students
  • Create a calm, safe, and supportive learning environment
  • Work closely with teaching assistants and pastoral teams
  • Track pupil progress and adapt approaches accordingly
  • Promote engagement, confidence, and independence
  • Follow safeguarding and school policies consistently


Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching primary or KS3 pupils
  • Strong interest in working within an SEMH or SEN setting
  • Confident behaviour management and de‑escalation skills
  • Patient, resilient, and adaptable teaching approach
  • Able to differentiate learning effectively
  • Committed to supporting pupils' emotional and academic development


Contract Details:

  • Position: SEN Teacher (QTS)
  • Location: Farnborough
  • Start Date: September
  • Working Pattern: Full‑time
  • Contract Type: Permanent
  • Pay Rate: £32,916 - £51,047 per annum (M1-U3)
  • Key Stage: KS3 (Primary Curriculum)


Experience, Training & Safeguarding:

  • QTS required
  • SEMH or SEN experience strongly beneficial
  • Safeguarding training can be provided
