Prospero Teaching is working with a specialist SEMH provision in the Farnborough area to recruit a dedicated and resilient SEN Teacher (QTS) for a September start. This is a permanent opportunity within a supportive and structured setting designed to meet the needs of pupils with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
In this role, you will teach KS3‑aged pupils following a primary‑style curriculum, adapting learning to suit individual needs and focusing on both academic progress and emotional development. The setting prioritises relationship‑building, consistency, and creating a safe environment where students can re‑engage with education.

The Role:
- Deliver a primary curriculum to KS3 pupils within an SEMH setting
- Plan and deliver structured, differentiated lessons
- Support pupils with emotional regulation and behaviour needs
- Build strong, consistent relationships with students
- Create a calm, safe, and supportive learning environment
- Work closely with teaching assistants and pastoral teams
- Track pupil progress and adapt approaches accordingly
- Promote engagement, confidence, and independence
- Follow safeguarding and school policies consistently
Ideal Candidate:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching primary or KS3 pupils
- Strong interest in working within an SEMH or SEN setting
- Confident behaviour management and de‑escalation skills
- Patient, resilient, and adaptable teaching approach
- Able to differentiate learning effectively
- Committed to supporting pupils' emotional and academic development
Contract Details:
- Position: SEN Teacher (QTS)
- Location: Farnborough
- Start Date: September
- Working Pattern: Full‑time
- Contract Type: Permanent
- Pay Rate: £32,916 - £51,047 per annum (M1-U3)
- Key Stage: KS3 (Primary Curriculum)
Experience, Training & Safeguarding:
- QTS required
- SEMH or SEN experience strongly beneficial
- Safeguarding training can be provided
