Are you a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher with QTS looking for a rewarding opportunity in a specialist school setting?
We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join a specialist school in the Slough area, supporting children and young people with additional needs within a nurturing, personalised learning environment.
The school provides specialist education for pupils with autism and a range of additional needs, with teaching tailored to each pupil’s individual abilities and learning needs.
The Role
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual pupil needs.
- Support pupils with autism and additional learning needs.
- Create a positive, safe and inclusive classroom environment.
- Use creative and personalised approaches to encourage engagement and progress.
- Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists and the wider school team.
- Monitor pupil progress and contribute to individualised learning plans.
- Build strong, positive relationships with pupils and support their social, emotional and academic development.
- Promote independence, communication and confidence.
- QTS is essential.
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN/autism is highly desirable.
- A patient, caring and adaptable approach.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to differentiate learning and respond to individual needs.
- Passionate about helping pupils achieve their full potential.
- Reliable, professional and committed to safeguarding.
