Supply Desk are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join one of our welcoming specialist schools in the New Forest area. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to make a genuine difference in the lives of children and young people with Special Educational Needs.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging, personalised and differentiated learning to pupils with a range of additional needs, supporting their academic progress, personal development and emotional wellbeing. Working alongside experienced Teaching Assistants and specialist staff, you will create a positive and nurturing learning environment where every child feels valued, supported and empowered to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities-
Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs.

Support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and complex needs.

Create a safe, nurturing and inclusive classroom where pupils feel confident to learn and develop.

Monitor pupil progress and maintain accurate records in line with EHCP outcomes.

Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, therapists, parents and external professionals to support each pupil's development.

Promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing and independence through a relationship-based approach.

Adapt teaching strategies, resources and learning activities to maximise engagement and achievement.

Encourage pupils to develop confidence, communication, social skills and independence both inside and outside the classroom.

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

A passion for delivering high-quality, inclusive education for pupils with Special Educational Needs.

Experience of, or a genuine interest in, supporting children with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, Speech and Language needs or other additional learning needs.

Committed to supporting pupils academically, socially and emotionally.

A creative, adaptable and reflective classroom practitioner who can personalise learning effectively.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
