Position: Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant
Are you an experienced and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding new opportunity from September 2026?
We are currently looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in the King's Lynn area.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people and wants to make a real difference to their education, wellbeing and development.
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to provide tailored support to pupils with a range of SEMH needs.
Your responsibilities may include:

Supporting pupils on a 1:1 or small-group basis

Helping pupils engage positively with their learning

Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour
-
Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils
-
Assisting with classroom activities and learning tasks

Working as part of a supportive and dedicated school team

Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and life skills
We Are Looking For

Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN/SEMH needs is highly desirable

A caring, patient and empathetic approach

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

The ability to remain calm and consistent in challenging situations

A genuine passion for supporting young people

The ability to build positive relationships with pupils

A professional and reliable approach
-
A valid DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for a new DBS
