£110-£120 per day

Contract: Full-time, long-term temporary
Long Term Futures is recruiting an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 1 pupil with complex additional needs in a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Haringey.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone with a strong background in supporting children with complex SEN, who understands the importance of consistency, patience and building trusting relationships. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher, SENCo and wider support team to help the pupil access learning and develop confidence throughout the school day.
The school is looking for a calm, proactive individual who is passionate about making a lasting difference to children's educational journeys.
About the Role
Working as part of the school's SEN team, you will:
* Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a Year 1 pupil with complex additional needs
* Adapt learning activities to meet individual EHCP targets and learning goals
* Support communication, emotional regulation and independence throughout the school day
* Use visual supports, structured routines and positive reinforcement to maximise engagement
* Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and external professionals
* Monitor progress and contribute to the implementation of personalised support strategies
* Help create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment
This role would suit someone who enjoys working closely with pupils requiring specialist support and who can provide consistency and encouragement every day.
Ideal Candidate Profile
* Previous experience supporting pupils with complex SEN in a primary school setting
* Good understanding of ASD, communication needs and differentiated support strategies
* Patient, resilient and nurturing approach
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Committed to a long-term role from September
