What you’ll be doing
- Supporting pupils from Reception up to Year 6 on a 1:1 and group basis to help them access learning and feel confident at school.
- Working alongside a team of SEN teachers and support staff, adapting activities and resources to suit individual needs.
- Supporting pupils with personal care when necessary.
- Encouraging independence, social skills and self-esteem.
- Building trusting relationships with pupils, staff and families.
What we’re looking for
- Experience supporting primary- or secondary-aged pupils with autism, Down syndrome, complex needs or physical disabilities.
- A patient, empathetic and reliable approach to both learning support and personal care.
- Someone who is flexible and happy to work across a range of year groups.
- Good communication skills and a willingness to work as part of a close-knit team.
- A genuine passion for helping children achieve their best every day.
