Salary: £22,996 - £25,068 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications
Welcome Bonus: £1,000*
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time, Term Time Only
Hours: 40 hours per week | Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm

About the Role

Simply Education are working with a specialist education setting in the Meldreth Manor area, supporting children and young people aged 6-19 with a range of complex additional needs, including MLD, SLD, autism, ADHD, complex medical needs and sensory/physical impairments.

We are looking for a caring and motivated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide high-quality support both in the classroom and across the wider community, helping students develop their confidence, independence and life skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Support students with their learning, development and progress across a range of environments.
• Provide individualised support for young people with complex SEN, autism, PMLD and medical needs.
• Help students work towards their educational, personal and independence goals.
• Support positive behaviour, communication and emotional wellbeing.
• Promote equality, inclusion, dignity and respect.
• Encourage students to develop confidence, independence and life skills.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and the wider team.
• Support learning within the classroom, local community and outdoor environments.
• The role may include personal care and physical intervention where required.

• Confident working as part of a team and independently when required.
• Strong communicators, particularly when supporting students with communication difficulties.
• Willing to undertake training and work towards relevant qualifications, with training and development fully supported.
• Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
• Educated to at least Level 2 in Maths and English (or equivalent).
