SEND Teaching Assistant 

Location: Nuneaton
Hours: Full-time, Monday–Friday

We are currently recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a broad-spectrum SEND school in Nuneaton, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs.

The successful candidate will provide 1:1 and small-group support, helping pupils access learning, develop independence and manage their social, emotional and behavioural needs.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting pupils with a broad range of SEND needs
  • Providing classroom, 1:1 and small-group support
  • Assisting with learning, communication and personal development
  • Supporting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Working closely with teachers and wider support staff
  • Helping create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND
  • Childcare relevant qualification Level 2 or above
  • A patient, calm and supportive approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils
  • A genuine interest in supporting children to reach their potential

Experience within a SEND school, specialist setting, care, youth work or similar environment would be advantageous.
