Teach Now is recruiting a confident and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant (Challenging Behaviours) for a supportive primary setting in Brent.
This role is ideal for an experienced Teaching Assistant who understands that behaviour is often a form of communication. You will support pupils who may experience difficulties with emotional regulation, engagement and social interaction, helping them feel safe, understood and ready to learn.
The role will include:
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with behavioural and additional needs
- Using positive behaviour strategies, clear routines and consistent boundaries
- Supporting pupils to regulate emotions and manage transitions
- Working alongside teachers and the SENCO to implement individual support plans
- Encouraging positive relationships, independence and engagement with learning
- Recording progress and significant incidents accurately
We are looking for someone with:
- Recent experience supporting children with challenging behaviour, SEMH or SEND
- Strong behaviour-management and de-escalation skills
- A calm, patient and consistent approach
- Good safeguarding awareness
- The right to work in the UK and eligibility for an Enhanced DBS
Salary is dependent on experience and qualifications, within the advertised £90–£100 daily range.
