TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming SEND school in Morpeth that provides a supportive and nurturing environment for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The school is committed to helping every student reach their full potential through positive relationships, consistency, and tailored support.

The school is looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant on a full-time basis, working Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 3:00pm. The successful Teaching Assistant will support pupils with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour, working closely with teaching staff to promote engagement, emotional wellbeing, and positive outcomes.

The successful Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH needs
• Experience managing challenging behaviour within an educational or care setting
• A calm, patient and resilient approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to get stuck in
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team
