A specialist secondary school in Croydon is seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join its dedicated team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced TA, youth worker, learning support assistant or SEN professional looking to develop their career within a specialist education environment.

You will provide support to students with a range of additional needs, helping them to access learning while developing their communication, confidence, independence and life skills.

No two days will be the same, and the role will require someone who can adapt their approach to meet the needs of individual students.

• Supporting students within lessons.
• Providing 1:1 and small-group intervention.
• Helping students engage with learning.
• Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
• Developing students' independence and confidence.
• Supporting communication and social development.
• Assisting teachers with differentiated resources.
• Working towards individual EHCP outcomes.
• Supporting students during practical and vocational activities.
• Working collaboratively with teachers and specialist staff.

• Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN.
• A genuine passion for specialist education.

• The ability to manage challenging situations professionally.

• A willingness to learn and develop specialist SEN strategies.
