Do you thrive in a dynamic and rewarding environment?If so, Horizon Care and Education is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team at our West Wickham School in Bromley.

Wickham Park School will be a brand-new SEN school in the heart of Bromley, South London.Set across three buildings, the school will provide exceptional, modern learning facilities for up to 70 pupils aged 5-19 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Autism.

What you’ll get to do:

  • Assisting students in their educational and social development.
  • Provide support inside and outside of the classroom, so they can fully engage in a wide range of activities.
  • Help to set up activities for students, using technology or adjusting the environment to suit their needs.
  • Support teachers, engaging with students, providing learning support, and reacting to situations in the classroom in a positive, non-disruptive manner.
  • Working 1:1 with some students, to give them the time and support they need to learn.

What we’re looking for from you:

  • Experience of working with children who have behavioural support needs with a good knowledge of behavioural management techniques and strategies
  • Grade C or above GCSE in English and Math, or L1/2 equivalent functional skills qualification
  • Hold or be willing to work towards a recognised teaching assistant qualification
