Support Learners Through Personalised Education
We're looking for an experienced SEN Tutor to support children and young people across West Sussex through tailored 1:1 tuition.
Working on behalf of Local Authorities, you'll provide personalised educational support to learners who require alternative provision due to SEND, EHCPs, anxiety, school avoidance, or other barriers to learning. Many of the students we support benefit from a flexible and individualised approach that helps them build confidence, re-engage with education, and achieve meaningful progress.
We're particularly interested in tutors who can support learners in:
- Crawley
- Worthing
- Horsham
- Chichester
- Bognor Regis
- Littlehampton

Role: SEN Tutor
Start Date: September
Hours: Flexible
Pay Rate: £25-£30 per hour
Type: 1:1 Tuition
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience in an educational setting, including tutoring, teaching, teaching assistant, learning support, mentoring, or similar roles
- Experience supporting children and young people with SEND
- Understanding of EHCPs and personalised learning approaches
- Ability to adapt sessions to suit individual learning needs
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Patient, resilient, and flexible approach
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
- Driver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel locally within West Sussex
Who You'll Support
You'll work with learners who may have:
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- ADHD
- Anxiety and emotionally based school avoidance
- Communication and interaction needs
- EHCPs and additional educational needs
