SEND Inclusion Support is proud to be recruiting on behalf of one of our specialist education partners for an experienced and passionate Special Educational Needs Co-Ordinator (SENCO).

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing specialist school supporting children and young people with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD and a range of additional learning needs. As SENCO, you will play a key strategic leadership role, driving high-quality SEND provision across the school and ensuring every pupil receives the support they need to achieve their full potential.

The Role

As the school's SENCO, you will:

  • Lead the strategic development and implementation of SEND provision across the school.

  • Coordinate day-to-day SEND support and interventions.

  • Ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice and relevant legislation.

  • Support teachers and support staff in delivering high-quality, inclusive teaching.

  • Monitor pupil progress and analyse data to improve outcomes.

  • Oversee EHCPs, annual reviews and targeted interventions.

  • Work collaboratively with parents, carers and external professionals.

  • Lead and develop SEND staff, providing guidance, training and support.

  • Maintain accurate SEND records, documentation and reporting systems.

  • Promote safeguarding, inclusion and positive outcomes for all pupils.

About You

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated professional who is committed to making a difference in the lives of children and young people with additional needs.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS).

  • Experience teaching across a range of key stages.

  • Previous experience in a SENCO or similar leadership role.

  • NASENCO or NPQ for SENCOs qualification.

  • Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and current legislation.

  • Experience supporting pupils with SEND, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).

  • Excellent communication, organisation and leadership skills.

  • A commitment to inclusion, collaboration and continuous professional development.
