SEND Inclusion Lead – Grade 9

Location: Taunton, Somerset
Rate: £270–£370 per day
Contract: 3 months initially
Working: Hybrid / Remote possible

We are currently recruiting for an experienced SEND Inclusion Lead to join an interim assignment in Taunton.

The role will focus on the management, investigation and resolution of Stage 1 SEND complaints, ensuring concerns are dealt with promptly, fairly and in line with statutory guidance and relevant procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and investigate Stage 1 SEND complaints.
  • Gather evidence and information to support investigations.
  • Prepare clear and professional complaint responses.
  • Work with families, schools and multi-agency professionals.
  • Resolve concerns at the earliest opportunity wherever possible.
  • Escalate complex or high-risk cases when required.
  • Identify trends and learning to support service improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with SEND legislation and complaints procedures.

About You

  • Strong knowledge of SEND legislation, guidance and processes.
  • Experience investigating complaints or resolving complex concerns.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Able to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience within SEND, education or public-sector services is desirable.
