Staff work closely with parents, carers and the wider community to create a stimulating, person-centred environment where students are encouraged to develop independence through engaging learning opportunities both in and out of the classroom.

The school is looking to appoint a dedicated SEND Teacher on a full-time, long-term basis from September, with the opportunity to become permanent for the right SEND Teacher. The successful SEND Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging, tailored lessons to students with additional needs, adapting learning to suit individual abilities while creating a safe, inclusive and supportive classroom environment.

The successful SEND Teacher will have:

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

• Previous experience working as a SEND Teacher or supporting children and young people with additional needs

• Strong knowledge of adapting lessons to meet individual learning needs

• Excellent classroom management skills

• A patient, caring and resilient approach

• The ability to build positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues
