Axcis Education are working with a local primary school near Walsall, seeking a nurturing teaching assistant, supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone from a care background, experienced with supporting an array of young people with complex needs. The school are dedicated to nurturing their children, ensuring they are provided with a caring, inclusive and inspiring learning environment. This mindset they seek to instil in all children in their care!

This is a full -time Teaching Assistant position starting in September, working everyday Monday to Friday. The role will involve supporting children with varying complex needs. In this role, candidates will be paid £92.63 per day.

The Role

  • Supporting children between the ages of 4 to 11
  • Supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
  • Provide students with personalised and tailored support for all individual needs
  • Build meaningful, positive relationships with all students
  • Bring a calming influence to the classroom

Requirements

  • Previous experience supporting young people with SEND
  • A caring and patient nature, with the ability to foster positive and meaningful relationships with all pupils
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
  • Availability to work 8:30am – 4:00pm, Monday to Friday
