Are you an enthusiastic and compassionate Teaching Assistant looking to support young people with additional needs in a specialist educational setting?
Cover People are recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a highly supportive specialist secondary school in Manchester. This rewarding opportunity involves working with students aged 11–19 with a wide range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), communication difficulties and complex learning needs. The school is committed to creating a calm, inclusive and engaging learning environment where every student is encouraged to develop academically, socially and emotionally.
The Role:- Support students with SEND in lessons and around the school.
- Deliver 1:1 and small-group interventions tailored to individual needs.
- Help pupils develop communication, social and independence skills.
- Work alongside teachers to adapt learning activities and resources.
- Encourage positive engagement and participation in learning.
- Support the implementation of EHCP targets and personalised learning plans.
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND.
- Knowledge of Autism, communication needs or learning difficulties is desirable.
- A patient, adaptable and nurturing approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.

All pay rates include 12.07% statutory holiday pay where applicable.
