SEND Tutor-Northumberland

Location: Northumberland (home-based and community settings such as libraries)
Pay Rate: £27-£30 per hour
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, between 8:00am and 4:30pm

We are currently seeking experienced and dedicated SEND Tutors to support children and young people across Northumberland. Tuition sessions take place either in the learner's home or in a suitable public setting such as a local library.

You will work on a one-to-one basis with learners who have:

• Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
• Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
• Additional learning needs requiring tailored educational support

The role involves planning and delivering engaging, personalised tuition sessions that help learners achieve their academic, social, and emotional goals.

• Proven experience working with SEND learners
• Experience supporting children and young people with EHCPs
• Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service (essential)
• Ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learner needs
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Reliable transport and willingness to travel within Northumberland
