About the Role

A specialist design, construction and engineering organisation working across the data, defence and energy sectors, are looking for a Senior Document Controller to join the team!

With over forty years of specialised industry experience, this company are committed to delivering high-quality outcomes, building long-term client relationships and providing innovative solutions to complex projects.

This role will initially be based on a major project in Acton, London

Reporting to the Technical Manager, the Senior Document Controller will lead the day-to-day operation of Document Control across assigned projects, providing operational oversight, guidance and support to the wider Document Control team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead day-to-day Document Control activities across assigned projects.
  • Supervise, mentor and support Document Controllers, including workload planning and resource allocation.
  • Configure and administer Common Data Environments, including Asite, Autodesk Construction Cloud and SharePoint.
  • Manage document workflows, permissions, metadata, registers and information exchanges.
  • Ensure project information meets company, project and ISO 19650 requirements.
  • Coordinate documentation throughout mobilisation, design, construction, closeout and handover.
  • Manage handover information including O&M manuals, as-built information, commissioning records, certificates and warranties.
  • Act as a key point of contact for Document Control and Information Management matters.
  • Work closely with project teams, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and clients.
  • Monitor Document Control performance, identify issues and drive continuous improvement.
What you'll need

To be considered for this role, you will have the following: 
  • Significant experience within construction Document Control.
  • Experience managing Common Data Environments.
  • Experience coordinating multiple projects and stakeholders.
  • Experience supervising or mentoring others.
  • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one where required.
  • ISO 19650, Document Control or Information Management qualification/training (desirable)
