Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Our client is looking for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer  to join their growing team. This is an office-based role, working alongside the design and delivery teams to produce high-quality electrical designs across a range of commercial fit-out projects.

You'll need strong, hands-on experience delivering CAT A and CAT B fit-out schemes, and the confidence to work across the full project lifecycle (from early concept through to construction and handover). 

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading and delivering electrical design across RIBA Stages 1–5, working as part of a well-rounded team covering everything from initial concept design through to construction and site delivery
• Producing detailed, buildable designs for CAT A and CAT B fit-out projects
• Reviewing and, where necessary, improving on Stage 4 consultant designs, bringing a level of technical rigour and coordination that goes beyond the minimum
• Working closely with contractors, clients and the wider design team to ensure designs are practical, coordinated and fit for construction
• Supporting the business's reputation for delivering considered, high-quality engineering solutions

What We're Looking For

• Strong, demonstrable experience in CAT A and CAT B fit-out electrical design
• Solid working knowledge across RIBA Stages 1–5
• Previous experience working within a contracting environment would be highly beneficial — we're looking for someone who understands the difference between a design that looks right on paper and one that actually works on site
• A proactive, detail-focused approach, comfortable taking ownership of designs and pushing for the right outcome rather than the easy one
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work confidently with clients, contractors and founders alike
