An established and highly regarded M&E Building Services contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator to strengthen its Pre-Construction team in East London.

The business specialises in the delivery of high-end commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects throughout London, working with major clients across premium office, commercial and mixed-use environments. Typical project values range from approximately £2 million to £10 million, with substantial electrical packages forming a key part of the company’s workload.

The Opportunity

As Senior Electrical Estimator, you will take ownership of complex electrical tenders across a varied portfolio of commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects.

Working closely with the wider Pre-Construction team, Directors, clients and consultants, you will manage tenders from initial enquiry through to final submission and handover.

The position will involve:

• Managing substantial electrical tenders independently
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation
• Preparing accurate and commercially competitive estimates
• Obtaining and analysing supplier and subcontractor quotations
• Contributing to tender strategy and value engineering
• Identifying commercial and technical risk
• Liaising confidently with clients, consultants and the wider project team
• Supporting tender presentations, negotiations and final submissions
• Ensuring a detailed and effective handover into project delivery

The role is primarily office-based in East London, although the business offers a sensible degree of flexibility where appropriate.

About You

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator with a strong background in M&E Building Services and substantial London commercial fit-out or refurbishment experience.

You should have:

• Proven senior-level Electrical Estimating experience
• A strong background working for an M&E or Electrical Building Services contractor
• Experience pricing substantial electrical packages, ideally in the £1 million to £5 million+ range
• Strong commercial fit-out and refurbishment experience
• Excellent technical and commercial awareness
• Experience contributing to tender strategy and value engineering
• The ability to manage complex tenders independently
• Strong client, consultant, supplier and subcontractor communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work effectively to demanding tender deadlines

The position would particularly suit someone accustomed to working within the fast-paced London fit-out market and capable of taking genuine ownership of major tender opportunities.
