Senior Field Engineer / Site Lead

Key Responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for installing and maintaining electronic security systems, performing preventive maintenance requirements and performing inspections, evaluations and inventory.

  • Leading teams on large complex installation projects with limited supervision
  • ⁠Leading and documenting daily toolbox talks, ORMs and safety audits
  • ⁠Installing and maintaining equipment at both a local and global level, as per design packages
  • ⁠Programming and installing head-end equipment for access control, intrusion detection and CCTV systems
  • ⁠Troubleshooting and isolating both systems and / or hardware at both a local and global level
  • ⁠Leading on-site software commissioning and testing
  • ⁠Leading inspections, evaluations and inventory
  • Performing take-off project drawings
  • ⁠⁠Creating, documenting and tracking RFIs
  • ⁠Design assistance and feedback
  • ⁠Documenting daily reports and project progress
  • ⁠Communicating project and team member issues / concerns to management
  • ⁠Creating and managing project schedule integration of IDS, ACS and CCTV systems
  • ⁠Forecasting and managing project labour hours
  • Communicating effectively with Supervisors and subordinates
  • ⁠Guiding and mentoring Technicians

Experience Required

  • 8+ years of electronics installation and / or maintenance activities on multiple systems and with multiple customer programs (with at least 3 years of this experience being within the Electronic Security Systems space)
  • Strong oral, written and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated background working with multidisciplinary teams
  • ⁠Demonstrated time management and organisation skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives
  • Strong MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint Skills are a plus

Key Requirements

  • ⁠Hold a valid driver's license; the position may require ongoing or intermittent use of a company vehicle
  • Happy to stay away from home for 4-8 weeks (on average) at any one time

Education

HS diploma or GED Military Electronics Training (minimum 720 classroom hours) / graduation from an accredited Electronics Technician program / graduation from an Electrical Apprenticeship program

Qualifications

Vendor certifications in multiple IDS, ACS and CCTV systems (C-CURE, Lenel, Identiv / Hirsch Velocity, Bosch Radionics, Bosch CCTV, Bosch BVMS, Bosch DIVAR, Aiphone, FFT, Windows operating systems) and experience in installing these systems.
