Senior Finance Systems Developer in Birmingham, West Midlands

Python / SQL / C#

Birmingham | Hybrid - 2 days in the office | £75K - £90K

I'm working with a growing organisation in Birmingham who are looking for a Senior Finance Systems Developer to join their team.

This is a hands-on senior technical role combining software development, systems integration and emerging AI/ML technologies, with the opportunity to lead and mentor two developers.

You'll be responsible for:

• Leading development across bespoke finance applications and integrations
• Working across the full SDLC, from design through to deployment
• Developing and maintaining REST API / JSON integrations
• Acting as the first technical escalation point for the support team
• Leading and mentoring two technical team members
• Developing into the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central / AL environment

Key technical skills:

• Python - ideally Flask
• SQL / T-SQL
• C# / .NET
• HTML / CSS
• REST APIs / JSON
• Strong SDLC experience
• Previous technical leadership or mentoring experience

Desirable: Dynamics 365 Business Central, AL, AI/LLM, Azure, Java, SQL Server/data warehousing or Tableau.
