Senior Financial Accountant in Cheadle, Greater Manchester

Your new role
You'll take ownership of the financial accounting and reporting activities for a number of international entities, leading month-end processes, balance sheet reconciliations and statutory accounting requirements. A key part of the role will involve managing internal and external audits, partnering with stakeholders across finance, tax and operations, and driving process improvements to enhance controls and efficiency. You'll also have the opportunity to contribute to regional and global finance projects, making this an ideal move for someone who enjoys working in a large, complex and evolving environment.

What you'll need to succeed
You'll be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with strong technical accounting fundamentals gained either in a large corporate environment or within a Top 10 accountancy practice. This role is particularly well suited to a first-time mover from practice looking to gain commercial experience, as well as candidates from large, matrix organisations who enjoy working across multiple stakeholders and entities. Strong communication skills, a proactive mindset and a genuine interest in process improvement and continuous development will be key to your success. Experience of SAP or similar ERP systems would be advantageous.
