Senior Health Care Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our care home team in Bristol. This role involves delivering high-quality care to residents, and ensuring the smooth operation of daily activities. Duties

• Oversee and supervise the delivery of personalised care plans for residents, ensuring all needs are met with dignity and respect
• Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, mobility, and medication management
• Coordinate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive resident support
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and update records in accordance with organisational policies
• Contribute to organising activities and social engagement programmes for residents to promote wellbeing
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times within the care environment
• Assist with driving responsibilities, including transporting residents when necessary

Requirements

• Proven experience in senior care or a similar setting, with supervising or leadership responsibilities preferred
• Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Knowledge of care plans, health & safety procedures, and IT systems utilised in healthcare settings
• Driving licence is desirable for transportation duties within the role
• Experience working in a care home environment is advantageous
• Compassionate nature with a genuine interest in eldercare and improving residents’ quality of life
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
