Are you an experienced HR professional with a strong background in organisational change, employee relations and job evaluation? We are seeking an HR Advisor / Senior HR Advisor to play a pivotal role in supporting a significant organisational restructuring programme within a Public Sector organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR practitioner who enjoys complex project work, providing expert advice to senior stakeholders, and delivering positive organisational change.
The RoleReporting into the HR leadership team, you will lead and support a range of high-profile workforce initiatives, with a particular focus on:

  • Restructuring : Leading a senior leadership restructure, including consultation processes with committees and key stakeholders.
  • Reviewing Job Descriptions & Contracts of Employment : undertaking a review of job descriptions, role profiles and contracts of employment including using a Job Evaluation programme using the NJC Job Evaluation Scheme.
  • Managing complex employee relations casework, including grievance, disciplinary, capability/performance and absence management cases.
  • Advising managers on employment law, HR policy and best practice.
  • Building strong working relationships with trade union representatives and stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Coaching managers to develop confidence and capability in managing people issues effectively.
  • Supporting wider HR and organisational development projects as required.

About YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent HR experience.
  • Experience of working within unionised public sector environments
  • Significant experience managing complex employee relations casework.
  • Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and its practical application.
  • Experience supporting organisational change, restructures or consultation exercises.
  • Experience reviewing job descriptions, terms and conditions, and workforce structures and knowledge of job evaluation, ideally NJC
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • A proactive, pragmatic and solutions-focused approach.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.


Offer

  • 3 to 6 months with scope for longer-term contracts / extensions
  • 2-3 days per week on site in Petersfield
  • Full Time 37 hours
  • contract via Hays online weekly time sheets
