Senior HR Business Partner ( 9 months FTC)

Are you an experienced HR Business Partner looking for an opportunity to lead, influence and shape organisational transformation?

On behalf of our client, The Bukola Group are seeking an experienced Senior People Business Partner to lead a team of HR Business Partners while partnering with senior leaders across a complex, values-led organisation.

This is a strategic leadership role, combining operational excellence with organisational development, change management and employee relations expertise.

Working closely with the senior People leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering the people strategy, embedding best practice and driving continuous improvement across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop and coach a team of People Business Partners, ensuring a high-quality and consistent HR partnering service.

  • Partner with senior leaders to align people strategies with organisational priorities, business objectives and transformation programmes.

  • Provide expert guidance on complex employee relations matters, ensuring commercially sound and legally compliant outcomes.

  • Evaluate and continuously improve the HR Business Partnering model, establishing meaningful KPIs and performance measures.

  • Use workforce data and people analytics to identify trends, inform strategic decision-making and measure organisational impact.

  • Support organisational change initiatives by embedding effective change management practices across client groups.

  • Foster a coaching culture, supporting leadership capability and management effectiveness throughout the organisation.

  • Work collaboratively with Learning & Development colleagues to identify capability gaps and deliver tailored people solutions.

  • Provide oversight and support for disciplinary, grievance and other formal employee relations processes, including participation in hearings where required.

  • Contribute to initiatives that enhance employee engagement, inclusion, wellbeing and organisational culture.

  • Support organisational projects and strategic people initiatives as required.

  • Work collaboratively with recognised Trade Unions and support consultation and negotiation processes where appropriate.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent professional experience), with CIPD Level 7 desirable.

  • Significant experience operating as a Senior HR or People Business Partner within a complex organisation.

  • Previous experience leading, mentoring or managing HR Business Partners.

  • A strong track record of developing and embedding effective HR Business Partnering models.

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence and challenge senior leaders.

  • Extensive experience managing complex employee relations cases and providing commercially focused HR advice.

  • Experience supporting organisational change, transformation and cultural development programmes.

  • Strong analytical skills with experience using workforce data to inform strategic decisions.

  • Excellent coaching, communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Experience working in unionised environments and supporting consultation or negotiation activities would be advantageous.
