About the Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for experienced Managing Quantity Surveyors and Senior Quantity Surveyors to support the delivery of major National Grid infrastructure projects.

Working for a leading infrastructure contractor, you'll play a key role in the commercial management of significant power transmission schemes, ensuring strong commercial governance, effective risk management and successful project delivery.



Key Responsibilities

  • Commercial management of major infrastructure projects
  • NEC3/NEC4 contract administration
  • Cost control, forecasting and financial reporting
  • Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR)
  • Compensation Events, Variations and Claims
  • Subcontract procurement and management
  • Final Accounts
  • Commercial risk management
  • Stakeholder and client relationship management
  • Supporting operational teams with commercial decisions


Requirements

  • Quantity Surveying qualification or equivalent experience
  • Previous experience as a Senior QS or Managing QS
  • Strong NEC3 and/or NEC4 contract knowledge
  • Experience managing subcontractors and commercial packages
  • CVR, forecasting and reporting experience
  • Proven background in utilities, energy, power transmission, civil engineering or major infrastructure projects
  • Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence


Desirable

  • National Grid project experience
  • Electricity Transmission or Substation projects
  • Utilities or Power sector background
