Build Recruitment are working with an established contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Mechanical Contracts Manager to join their team in Plymouth.

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior-level mechanical professional with a strong commercial and industrial background, looking to take responsibility for a varied portfolio of projects across universities, healthcare, commercial and industrial environments.

You’ll be responsible for the successful management and delivery of mechanical projects, overseeing contracts from pre-construction through to completion.

Key responsibilities:

• Managing mechanical contracts and projects from inception through to completion.

• Overseeing subcontractors, site teams and mechanical engineers.

• Managing programmes, budgets, procurement and variations.

• Maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants and project stakeholders.

• Monitoring project performance, quality and health & safety.

• Providing leadership and support to project and site teams.

• Managing multiple projects across commercial, healthcare, education and industrial environments.

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Contracts Manager with:

• Proven experience managing commercial and industrial mechanical projects.

• Strong contract and commercial management experience.

• Experience delivering technically complex projects.

• Excellent client-facing and communication skills.

• Strong leadership and organisational abilities.

• Relevant mechanical qualifications.

• SMSTS and relevant site/project management qualifications would be advantageous.

• £60,000 – £65,000 DOE
